We dream to engulf reality with our idiocies so that everyone can be freed from their intellect
WHO IS KIRA NOVA
Kira Nova is the artists and creator of the immersive theater piece and film series "The Idiots".

Her shows fuse circus, absurdity, and hallucinatory experiences, described by Artforum as “Too slapstick to be genuine, too genuine to be satire, to unnerving to be empty-calorie entertainment”

Collaborating with comedians like Reggie Watts and artists such as Ivo Dimchev, Nova's work offers a new take on immersive theater & film.
The great thing about our dream is that we can go to sleep and have it all over again the next night!
PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE WITHOUT PSYCHEDELICS?
We've spent a lot of time studying crowd and individual psychology, conducting many experiments to find what truly engages audiences.

Through elements of games, guided conversations, active hypnosis, and naturally induced trance states, we lead our audience into a psychedelic state.
No one is born an idiot, you have to become one
“THE IDIOTS” PLOT SUMMARY

The show rests on the assumption that if you are not running on your idiocy, somebody else’s idiocy is running on you. That is: to be an active agent of change one needs to become The Idiot.

"The Idiots" is a 2-hour theater experience guiding the audience through three levels of stupidity: Morons, Imbeciles, and Idiots. Starting with Moronic rule-following, it transitions to rules misinterpreted by Imbeciles. The climax immerses viewers in the hallucinatory, sensory world of Idiots, culminating in collective ecstasy and blissful naïveté. The adventure ends with the newly initiated Idiots celebrating with milk and cookies outside the theater.
VISUALS, COSTUMES, PROPS
Throughout the show, actors morph and transform, changing costumes, adding arm elongations, masks, and silicone body extensions. They shift into human and non-human forms, abstracting their body parts. This ontological transformation contributes to the state of organized chaos and confusion;

The show aesthetics is a blend of abstracted human prosthetics, medieval fool costumes, erotic outfits, and absurdly exaggerated (or misunderstood) sex fetishes, inviting the audience to lose their senses and identity all together.
LIGHTING DESIGN
Our special lighting design subtly shifts the audience's state without them noticing, focusing on barely visible pulsations and alternating between blackouts and different colored lighting.

This unique lighting design is crafted in collaboration with Nicolas Amato, Chief Lighting Technician, who has lit many productions for Paramount, Warner Bros, and Universal Pictures since 1997.
SCENOGRAPHY & SPACE REQUIREMENTS
"The Idiots" is designed to be performed in a versatile black box theater space with a basic lighting grid and blackout capability. The scenography is minimal, featuring several portable mirror walls. Alternatively, the performance can be set in a gallery or a museum space, provided we can arrange for blackout conditions and some basic theater lighting to create the desired atmosphere.
